What is my work authorization status?

I have British citizenship only. I am considered a non-resident alien in the USA for the purpose of study, on an F-1 Visa. I have 9 months of CPT work authorization remaining. I have 12-24 months of OPT authorization available post graduation.

What does it mean to be a Stamps President's Scholar?

Georgia Tech runs a program in collaboration with the Stamps Charitable Foundation to award full-ride merit scholarships to about 40 entering freshman every year, out of 16000+ eligible students. Based on the following pillars: Progress, Service, Scholarship and Leadership, the selection process is rigorous. I was the third international student ever selected for the scholarship.

Availability window

The Georgia Tech Spring 2019 semester ends on May 4th. The Fall 2019 semester begin on August 19th. I am theoretically available between these dates, but CPT work authorization is related to the school's summer term dates. I will have precise clarification from the international education office as fast as they can produce it for me.

What is my education history?

I was born and raised in the UK. All of my pre-18 education was completed in the UK. I completed 4 A-levels in 2016, I completed GCSEs in 2014. I now attend the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I am in my 3rd year of an ASME accredited Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree.

Travel details

I hold a full UK Driver's Licence and International Driving Permit. I can drive and rent cars in the USA.
I hold a valid British passport
